Jacob Sowders

Jake Sowders grew up in the Sandhills of Nebraska in McPherson County, where he developed a deep appreciation for the land, ranching, and the people who make the area special. Much of his younger years were spent working on ranches, helping during branding season, and being on horseback helping neighbors and friends in some way. Those experiences gave Jake a firsthand understanding of the hard work, traditions, and lifestyle that come with owning and working the land.

In 2026, Jake acquired his real estate license and began his career as a real estate agent. He is licensed in Nebraska, Kansas, and Oklahoma and is excited to bring his knowledge, experience, and relationships to Lashley Land and Recreational Brokers.

Jake is especially excited about the opportunity to work with the people who helped shape him throughout his grade school and high school years. The relationships and experiences he gained growing up in the area played a major role in molding him into the person he is today, and he looks forward to giving back by helping people buy and sell their land and recreational properties.

Whether it’s a family ranch that has been passed down through generations, a new piece of ground, or a recreational property, Jake understands that land is about much more than acreage. It represents hard work, family, memories, and a way of life.

Outside of real estate, Jake enjoys spending time with his wife and their four children — three boys and a girl. He also enjoys hunting, playing golf, and spending time outdoors with his family.

Jake is proud to have grown up in Nebraska and is grateful for the opportunity to build his career in an industry he has always had a connection to. He can’t wait to work with everyone and looks forward to helping clients with their land and recreational real estate needs.
