Lashley Land Agent to Give Presentation on Rangeland Production
North Platte, Nebraska – On October 18, 2018, Skip Marland-Associate Broker at Lashley Land and Recreational Brokers, will give a presentation on maintaining high rangeland production and establishing fair grass rental rates between landlord and tenant.
The presentation will take place at the Viersen Ranch located north of North Platte. Skip has been working with the owners of the Viersen Ranch to implement a cattle rotation grazing plan, and an extensive stock watering system. The Viersen ranch is one of the nicest 10,000 acre all contiguous Sandhill ranches in Lincoln County.
Skip has long been a part of the agriculture community as a ranch owner, consultant, appraiser, and associate farm and ranch broker. This presentation gives him an opportunity to share his knowledge with fellow ranch owners and anyone interested in rangeland production.
This presentation is sponsored by the Nebraska Society for Range Management, the USDA Natural Resources Conservation Service, and the University of Nebraska Extension program.
For those interested in attending the presentation, tour guests will meet at the Holiday Inn Express, in North Platte, at 8:00 A.M. sharp and travel from there to the Viersen Ranch. Guests need to have a 4 wheel drive vehicle. For more information about the tour please contact Jeff Nichols at the Nebraska Natural Resources Conservation Service at 308-534-2360 Ext 3.
